The Best SQE1 Communities and Online Support Groups
SQE students: you're not alone! Thousands of aspiring UK solicitors are currently going through the highs and lows of studying for this exam.
To help you connect with other candidates, we've put together a list of our favourite SQE1 communities. Places where you’re able to chat to other students, get emotional support, and share sleep-deprived memes at 4am after a terrible day of property law.
1) SQE Success Hub (WhatsApp)
There's no better place to start than the world's largest SQE WhatsApp group. Founded by an SQE alumnus, who was worried about the mental health of candidates, this community is great for informal questions, quick clarifications, and day-to-day encouragement.
2) LawSikho (Telegram)
Next up, we have the world's largest SQE Telegram group. LawSikho has more than 30,000 members (!!!). It’s a fast-moving, content-rich space, geared mainly toward international law graduates.
3) KINNU Law (WhatsApp)
If you want something smaller and more personal, the KINNU Law WhatsApp fits the bill. Chat with other students, ask questions, share advice, and take part in our Daily MCQ Challenge. Where else can you get a free MCQ every day?

In addition to those three communities, there are also some great SQE online forums out there. Again, here's a list of our favourites.
4) Reddit
The r/SQE_Prep subreddit has an active following of around 2,300 members. It’s an anonymous space where candidates discuss study plans, share resources, and post honest reviews of course providers.
5) Facebook
There are several large Facebook groups dedicated to SQE prep.
- SQE Support leads the way with around 5,400 members. It offers a helpful environment where aspiring solicitors can exchange notes and tips.
- SQE Exam Prep Group has about 4,300 members. It focuses on foundational LLB and SQE subjects, including contract and business law.
- SQE Tips and Tricks has roughly 1,800 members. It’s known for sharing prep hacks, past experiences, and course reviews.
- Two broader communities, UK Lawyers and UK Solicitors, have 10,400 and 9,800 members. While not limited to SQE-specific discussions, these groups often feature relevant posts.
6) LinkedIn
Several dedicated SQE forums can also be found on LinkedIn. The largest by some distance is the SQE Discussion Forum, which has around 6,800 members, and attracts a mix of domestic and international candidates seeking advice, updates, and legal career insights.
For those qualifying via the international route, the SQE for Foreign Qualified Lawyers LinkedIn group, with around 500 members, offers targeted content, including updates on QWE, exam logistics, and application procedures.
As we said at the start, these are our favourite SQE1 communities. We recommend joining a few of them, and seeing which ones feel best. Oh, and another quick shout out to the KINNU Law WhatsApp group. If you have a minute, come and say hey!
